Web application that will run on raspberry pie running linux.
I don't particularly care what languages or technologies are relied upon for this as long as they are common industry standard, but it should be fully documented and commented in code so that another developer can easily make changes or updates in the future.
A directory exists on the filesystem that will receive video files from another source. The web app needs to be able to read those files and display them automatically (without screen refresh) in descending order by date as they come in. Initially, the filename should be what is listed in the list of videos. When selecting one of the videos from the list, the video will load and allow the user to playback at 2x 1.75x 1.5x 1x .75x .5x .25x, or forward/reverse frame by frame and an easy mechanism for scrubbing back and forth. There should be an option to for playing in full screen.
The user must be able to add notes to each video that will be saved and displayed if the user pulls that video up again later in a different session.
The user must be able to rename the video as it is displayed in the list, but that rename will not change the order in which it is displayed by default.
The user must be able to add tags to the video that can be searched and for filtering.
There will be a search feature where the user can search by filename, video name (see above), tags, or upload status.
There will be an integration with youtube such that a selected video can be uploaded using credentials input in a config view separate from the main app view(s). While viewing each video there should me a mechanism to allow the user to post the video from that view without leaving the page.
In terms of layout, I am open to designs, but the point of the app is to quickly review short video files, switching from one video to the next, so navigation between videos should be as simple as possible. The design should be modern and easy to use for touch screen or mouse.
There should be a location for a logo to be displayed prominently in the UI but not taking undue screen real estate and should not distract from the main purpose of the app. That logo file should be able to be uploaded from the UI.
The app needs to be 100% capable of running while disconnected from the internet, absolutely no external libraries or api calls other than the youtube post capability if/when connected to the internet.
“Juan was an absolute pleasure to work with. His work is top notch. He was very professional in the turnover process as we worked through bugs during testing and and final changes. I would absolutely hire him again and will likely be sending more work his way. Thank you for a great project and excellent experience throughout this process.”
