Contest Brief

My customer is interested in converting the existing design to a tile-based model with the ability to drag a drop widgets/controls. We are looking for designs that convert the existing screen components into a layout/format to accomplish this goal. Attached is the PSD of the original design and an image of what was implemented.

Current Design Problem - The current layout has items using 1/3 of the screen (both width and height), making it difficult to move items around. We need to redesign the items so they are more flexible.

Design - grid layout - 4 across (275 pixels width each) - max width for grid 1150 pixel (50 pixel for spacing between)
Widget Sizes (height-width) - 275 x 275 pixel, 275 x 550 pixel, 275 x 825 pixel, 550 x 275 pixel, 825 x 275 pixel. The Fitbit Web Dashboard is a good example and is attached.

Goal - Need to see a design where the CURA Graph and Sleep Widget are on the first line side by side. Need widgets to fit as the user drags items around, the screen will dynamically shift items based on user preference. That is the primary reason for some predefined Widget sizes - the ability to move items around.

Widget sizes and design may need to be changed to meet our new design requirements. Provide options. The customer is happy with the base design, we just need to make modifications for future enhancements.

Just to check... It'll have 4x3 tiles of 275x275 each, right?

And variations of this with larger sizes, joining 2 and 3 tiles, not 4. Can you confirm this to me? Thanks

I added a new file to the project. "steps with goal line in graph.jpg" this might help with fitting the widgets into the design goals. Designs around this would be helpfull

All rows/columns need to be in quarter increments. They can expand horizontally and vertically. On the top row, I would like the Cura Score graph and Sleep bar chart. Existing widgets can be split to meet my design goals. The bar charts could have the goal integrated into the bar chart if space doesn't permit it to fit properly.

    New designs are welcome

All, I'm looking for creative ideas - what I received so far is just moving items around. That is not acceptable. Items need to scale based on the grid design I provided. Look at the fitbit example attached as that is our end goal. Redesigns of what we developed to date is acceptable. We are not fixed on what we currently have. I look forward to your submissions.

I would require each item be converted to proper size widgets. Look at the fitbit example, that is our target goal.
