I run an active auction group on WhatsApp (members connect through Android devices) and now need a purpose-built backend that plugs into the WhatsApp Business API to keep each sale organised and transparent. Core flow • Capture every bid that comes into the group, store it with timestamp, bidder ID, and item reference. • Push instant “you’re now the highest bidder” or “you’ve been out-bid” alerts back to the bidder. With each bid the time to bid on that specific item gets extended with 10 seconds and auctions is done lot by lot. • Automatically close the lot at the preset end time and post a winner announcement to the group, while privately DM’ing payment instructions. Because I don’t yet have any server-side infrastructure, the project includes designing and deploying a fresh, scalable backend (language and stack are flexible; Node.js or Python with a realtime database such as Firebase/Firestore, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL are all fine as long as they meet WhatsApp Business API requirements). What I’d like handed over 1. Source code in a Git repo with clear setup instructions. 2. Deployed instance (cloud preference: AWS, GCP, or DigitalOcean) with HTTPS endpoint and webhook integration to WhatsApp. 3. README covering environment variables, how to add new auction items, and how to trigger manual overrides if needed. 4. Brief hand-off call or video walkthrough. Acceptance criteria • All four features—bid tracking, auto bid extention, auto bid notifications, winner announcement—operate in a live WhatsApp sandbox demo. • Backend spins up from a clean install script and passes simple load test of 500 concurrent bids. • Error logs and retries handled gracefully (no silent failures). If you have experience with the WhatsApp Business API and building event-driven backends, this should be a straightforward build. Let’s get this auction group running smoothly.

I have the complete, working backend logic ready with MongoDB/Node.js. I noticed my entry got 1-star, could you tell me if you need to see the live API endpoints. Entries no. : #61

Hello Contest Holder, Kindly check my entry #64. I have 2+ years of experience in Python development, with a strong focus on backend development, API integration, automation, web scraping, and data processing. I build clean, scalable, and maintainable solutions with reliability and performance in mind. For your project, I've carefully reviewed the requirements and submitted a solution approach that addresses the complete auction workflow, including real-time bid tracking, automatic bid extensions, notifications, and winner announcements. I would greatly appreciate your feedback on my entry. Thank you for your time and consideration!

Sir, you rated for just AI generated images as well. Actually they do not have any real skills.

I have extensive experience building event-driven architectures with the WhatsApp Business API. Most developers will struggle with the real-time concurrency of an auction (race conditions when two people bid at the exact same second). I have designed a robust Node.js + PostgreSQL backend to handle this specifically. Attached is a mockup of the admin dashboard and architecture I will build for you. My Stack & Approach: Node.js (Express) backend deployed on DigitalOcean (cost-effective & scalable). PostgreSQL for transactional integrity (ensuring no two bids get the same timestamp/status incorrectly). WhatsApp Cloud API via webhooks to handle the incoming messages instantly. Automated timer logic built to handle the +10s extensions without crashing. I will provide the full Git repo, a clean installation script, and a video walkthrough showing it passing a 500-concurrent-bid load test as requested. Let's get this built properly

Hi Pieter (@Pieter), I noticed most entries are focused on frontend UI mockups, but since your core requirement is a resilient backend, I have engineered the actual event-driven architecture using Node.js, Express, and MongoDB. My implementation features robust Regex matching for incoming Meta WhatsApp Cloud API group payloads to capture active lots and bids instantly. Most importantly, I have fully implemented the real-time 10-second dynamic extension window algorithm to handle final-moment bids seamlessly without any database race conditions. I have uploaded my functional routing logic and database schema layout as Entry #61. It's structurally optimized to handle high concurrency loads (500+ concurrent requests) on a micro DigitalOcean droplet. I'd love to open a chat to show you the functional code execution flow!

Hi! I just have one technical question before starting the project. Will the WhatsApp Business API you're using provide webhook events for messages sent inside the auction group, or are bids expected to be sent directly to the business number? My implementation depends on how bids are received. If the API delivers group messages to the webhook, I can automatically track every bid, extend auction timers, notify bidders, and announce winners. If not, we'll need to use a different bidding flow or another supported integration. Could you let me know which WhatsApp Business API setup you're using (e.g. Meta WhatsApp Cloud API, Twilio, 360dialog, etc.) and whether group message webhooks are available?
