Then, there's Russ Crosby who is definitely a very talented artist who captured a lot of energy in his work which we love. Unfortunately, the smile and the face wasn't what we are looking for. We sure wished we had seen more from this artist.

The design didn't work for us because it was too simple, too abstract, not 100% frontal view of his face and his smile wasn't what we were looking for. I hope this helps. Thanks SO MUCH for all of your efforts - and I know there were many! All the best to you -

Although Andabb created a really funky and whimsical smile which we really liked, it wasn't 100% frontal and we cannot see how this face would do in the 4 remaining scenes we requested as part of this contest. So, since StudioKimus did provide us with 100% frontal view of his face and he had a great big smile, a happy dog and had all of the 5 scenes we requested and did a great job with each ---------- we announce STUDIOKIMUS AS THE WINNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before we decide, we want to thank EVERYONE who put a lot of hard work into this contest and drawing all of the 100+ images we've received. You've dug into your creative juices and drew what you thought we'd like and what 'spoke' to you. We sincerely thank each one of you for all of your hard work and effort. None of it goes without notice and as an employer of many jobs previously on Scriptlance and only a few here on Freelancer, we remember those who have done well and how they've conducted themselves. We will remember these things for future jobs as well and may call on some of you for additional work or future competitions.

So, that makes it between Andabb and StudioKimus. This really is a tough decision.

Okay, so GreenAndWhite's face is too conservative - although absolutely gorgeous - and not whimsical enough. And, the one and only scene we have he's larger than what we're looking for. So, with regret, we will eliminate GreenAndWhite from the contest....

Lastly, there's Andabb who's been plugging along at this for quite some time, drawing new faces as we've suggested as very, very few people have actually done. His drawing, #120, is full of life and energy and really quite goofy looking and whimsical. He's someone who has really grown on us every time we look at him. But, his face isn't 100% frontal and we wonder if we could reaaaally use him in the other scenes we want. How would the face work? How would he look in color - even though it wasn't required? Hmmmm...... this is tough....

Then, there's StudioKimus who has been working at this design for quite some time - changing things as we've suggested and who has done all 5 scenes. But, does the smile that he's created work for us? Does it truly capture the super, powerful energy we're trying to achieve?????? What about the background? How well done are the background images and do they flow together and compliment each other? What about the dog? Does he compliment the guy? It's all a hard decision to make....

Then there's GreenAndWhite who drew the most beautiful face of a guy who you'd almost want your daughter to marry. (Grin. As if that decision would all be on looks! Not! ) Their design was truly charming and the 'boy next door' type of look. But did they capture the look we wanted and was the one and only drawing of the image scene of a very large and stocky guy what we want???? We wished there was more images to see with this face to see just how it would do, but --- there wasn't any.

Then, there's Pykotta who is a very talented artist, too, and took the time to daw several of the images we requested. Pykotta drew the best jeep we had seen but something was still lacking in the smile - and as we all know, this job is all in the smile....

Well, you 'guys' really made this tough and it has been an exciting contest!
As you know, we wanted a very simple yet exciting character who had a smile that was absolutely magnetic and full of charm. The importance of the contest was who could create that million dollar smile that was captivating. The smile that you would have like as if you had won the lottery - or close to it. (grin.)
Several artists stand out.
There is John MacKay's work who drew images that were very simple - which is what we wanted - but didn't have quite the design we were looking for as we needed the 'face' to work on many different image scenes - many more than what we even listed. His face didn't quite work but John is definitely a very talented artist.- 11 years ago

Nope, still don't like the smiles. The one laying down on the lounge chair is the best but that has to be tweaked some. Also, the eyes are too small.. Excitement of the eyes need to go with the smile. Can't wait to see more!

The basketball guy's smile looks the best from the ones you've drawn. The color samples in 117 don't include the basketball player. Thanks so much for your hard work. I LOVE the jeep!
