Contest Brief
The all-on-4 implant protocol is used in prosthodontic dentistry to restore a fully edentulous arch. The all-on-4 treatment concept has two critical components that differentiate it from traditional implant supported restorations.
First, only four implants are placed. This is obvious from the name of the procedure, but because only 4 implants are used they are placed in a unique orientation. Second, the implants are loaded within 48 hours after placement.
Your job as a contestant is to write a technical overview discussing the all-on-4 treatment protocol. You are not writing for patients. Your audience consists of dentists and other dental industry professionals. Therefore, technical language must be used correctly. Furthermore, all comparative or functional claims should be cited to an article published in a peer-reviewed journal.
Some example journals include:
Journal of the American Dental Association
Journal of Oral Implantology
Clinical Oral Implant Restorations
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry
Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
The winning article will be an informative overview of the evidence, indications, benefits, and survival rates associated with the all-on-4 procedure.
The article should not attempt to provide a step by step guide for clinicians. That type of article would need to be written by an experienced practitioner.
The winning article should be written like a popular science level overview of the procedure. It should first interest the specialist audience by it's accessibility, and go on to impress them with a wealth of information.

That means cite your sources. I don't expect every freelancer to be a dentist. I expect entries from many talented writers, but none from practicing dentists. That means you will synthesize and repeat information produced by experts.
EVERY SIGNIFICANT CLAIM OR FACT SHOULD BE CITED.
I've given this contest 21 days for a reason. Rushed, copy-paste jobs will not win this contest. Expect to spend more time reading than writing if you expect to win.
I look forward to seeing what the Freelancer community can produce.
