The popup books will be based on Aesops fables which is a collection of tales which have some moral message behind it. Tales include The Tortoise and the Hare, The Lion and the Mouse, The Crocodile and the Monkey and so forth. For example in the story of the Tortoise and the Hare, the message is, slow and steady wins the race. I want to revamp Aesops fables and turn it into a collection of short popup books for young children ideal for bedtime reading. I have some idea of the type of illustration I am looking for. Each book will only be 4-5 pages long but there will be enough there to make the story last about 5minutes. Ideally the book will be a large version like an A4 or even an A3 size which popups out when opened. I want to hire an illustrator who is good at drawing...
