Esp32 lora mesh jobs

I have a working ESP8266 WiFi with a load cell as my sensor. I need it to work on battery. When i connect the battery, it dies after 1 week. Same for when i use Uno with LoRa. I tried to use the deep sleep function, but its not enough to make the battery last more than 1 week. If you know how to make this work for at least 3 months. please let me know.

We have an environmental monitoring system which uses an ESP32 controller. It uses i2c protocol to talk to sensors, which is not working reliably enough in a noisy environment, so we'd like to change to RS485/MODBUS. We already have the RS485 sensors.
