Tried installing openswan, cannot get it working. I can see traffic hit, but it never brings the tunnel up. I have setup multiple site to site vpn's, and currently have tested my aws vpn works without issue when i use other routers including software based ones like openswan. Icannot for the life of me get my asa 5520 to work with an aws vpn on my vpc. I read it may not even be possible with that modal, but cannot confirm that? Looking to connect asa to aws and send a successful ping to private network on aws. This is mostly a debuging task. All work will be done via team viewer with me.

I need to configure OpenSwan VPN on a CentOS to connect to a Cisco ASA 5510 at a telco. I have installed the default OpenSwan on the VPS server which uses a virtual interface and TUN/TAP but have errors trying to run ipsec on the VPS server. See attached and secrets files. Also trying to run ip tuntap add dev tun0 mode tun and /sbin/route add -net 172.28.x.x netmask gw 198.x.x.x Could anyone assist me please?
Objective is to setup a hub n spoke architecture with an AWS Virtual Private Gateway (VGW) at the hub (VPC1) and the spokes are linux boxes running Openswan. This stage is Proof of Concept to confirm that the remote sites can talk to each other (using EC2 instances as the linux boxes). VPC1<-->VPC2 and VPC1<-->VPC3 is working. But eg I can not ping VPC2<-->VPC3. Also all internet access should be at VPC3 (not VPC1).

The scenario is the following: PfSense Virtual Machine (latest version) with public Static IP Zyxel Zywall USG 100 behind a 4g LTE router with dynamic IP. It should work as roadwarrior. We need a nailed up VPN which route all internet traffic from LAN ports on Zywall USG 100 through VPN. In other words we need that computers on ZYwall LAN use the public static IP of the Pfsense to surf the web. A partial configuration is already in place. Phase 1 of VPN ipsec is ok. i need help to config a zyxel zywall 110 dual wan modem 1. i want to be able to know if one of the wan's are down. email alert 2. i want each user on the network to have limited bandwidth so that one person can not steal all the speed. Question: is it possible for the router to allocate bandwidth based on how many people are connected? for example we have 300mbps download speed. if two people are connected it will give each person 150mbps. if 4 people are connected, it will dynamically give each person 75mbps. is that possible? 3. i want to know how i can switch a specific user's computer to wan1 or want2 on the fly if i have to. is that possible? 4. we need to config balancing between wan1

I want to do a VPN between a Linode Cloud Server (running on Linux) and a Cisco ASA 5520, by using a pre shared key (PSK). Openswan can be used for the task. Server can be created and configured from scratch at Linode, it has no info stored at this time. VPN is currently the main priority. 80 USD is the budget for the project, to be completed in 2 calendar days. Technical documentation will be given.
