Project Description

I have a script that is .ASP and .JS, however the .ASP part of it seems to be lacking and incomplete. I may need the .ASP part coded to work with the .JS or, depending on advise, just rewite the thing altogether.

I have a Code Signing Certificate from Thawte and I know how to sign files. What I need this script to do, is once I sign my Standard .EXE (written in VB6 using Visual Studio Enterprise 6.0), the script needs to -- upon the user going to my page, prompt the user with the Thawte/ActiveX prompt.. you know the one that says Yes/No? If the user clicks NO, it prompts with a message (that I can change).. in this case "In order to view the rest of the site you must click Yes to install the viewer".. then they click "OK" on that javascript prompt .. and the Thawte Active Prompts again with Yes/No. After the 3rd time it doesn't prompt again. If the user clicks YES, then the .EXE, whether it needs to be put in a .cab, converted to an ocx, or whatever --- downloads, installs and runs.

I'd rather not add anything to my .EXE source for this, but if I have to add something like UserControl? to it then I'd just need instructions/walk through.

That sums it up -- I really don't know how else to explain what I need and I think I've outlined this pretty good. Attached is the script I do have right now that I believe in incomplete. I am just going by what I've been told, for all I know the script might be complete and I just don't know how to set up the file properly. It seems to have worked fine with Macromedia Flash as a .cab... but when I made my own .cab, even updating the classid -- it didn't work and it doesnt even prompt -- and YES, I did not forget to sign my file :o)

Thank You,
Danielle

I don't know what to put for the project price -- this could be something really simple that takes 5 minutes, or it could mean rewriting some or all the stuff, or could be I just need a simple tutorial. If you're unsure -- Bonus's can always be worked out as I do on RAC where I'm a perfect 10. I'm always fair in what I pay and then some.
