Project Description

Need to build a simple web-based FORM wizard (step 1 - step 2 - step 3 etc) to capture customer requirements in order to generate a quotation.

We are a company in the 'removals / relocation' business and need a unique but simple way for customers to fill in a form and give us information about their house move (eg date-of-move, postcode-from, postcode-to, inventory etc).

This 'quotation-generator' will be used on our website and will need to be linked to an MS-Access database because we will then use the data captured to calculate costs and generate a price quote based on a complex algorithm of vehicles (from inventory capacity), fuel costs (from distance of postcode locations), man-power, materials etc..

There are some good existing examples as a start-point ([url removed, login to view]). We want something like this but much better and even easier!

We want to imrove the [url removed, login to view] format and make it simpler for customers. We will need development of all graphics / design, web-logic etc. i.e. complete web-form solution with MS Access integration.

The customer experience will be easier / quicker but should enable the generation of a more ACCURATE automated quote based on our calculation algorithms.

Graphics and user-inerface / aesthetics will need be very good. I dont like cluttered and busy web-pages or forms.

Because our website is developed using simple asp 2.0 and javascript - this is the base technology preferred.

We are working on a basic process-flow for the user experience which we will share with the developer.

For the successful developer we have many more little web development projects :)
