You will work under the Online Marketing Manager and be responsible for the direction of editorial content (text, photos, audio and video) on our company websites and blogs and on partner blogs. You will directly coordinate the work of in-house and freelance writers including some of our existing teachers and in-house operations staff who may write for us; this will involve recruiting and possibly firing some of them. You will have close contact with the design and web development team as well as coordinate work with the Academic and Operations Teams. At first, you will inherit some existing ideas and projects but in time you will be developing your own ideas as to what will make our site and social channels the most exciting and interesting in the languages industry. You will research and discover partner channels and sites which will want to collaborate with us and share/borrow/link to our content and conduct negotiations with them.
Most importantly, you need to be able to write lots of punchy, high quality short articles yourself and obtain other articles from your network of writers. You will need to be able to determine very quickly who can write and who cannot and not be afraid to tell people if their work is not up to scratch and also to provide feedback to them on what they can improve. You should also not be too shy to tell your colleagues, even the CEO, if you don't agree with an idea.
You can also expect to work closely with the CEO (Managing Director).
Please send your resume and cover letter in english, a link to your Facebook page (and Twitter/Google+/LinkedIn if you have them) and also a link to any blogs or articles you have written.
