BLUEBEAM TEST I have put together a small test to measure 1 x unit. This is to find an estimator that can both follow instructions and provide a measure with descriptions the builder can rate without wondering what the materials are. (Seems weird having to spell it out but there are very few that can actually complete the test/contract) I currently have myself and 1 other fulltime estimator and also 4 part time estimators. I am now searching for an estimator that I can give 30-40hrs of work to each week as some of my part time estimators are also busy on other projects and not always available Test/Contract instructions is as follows; 1. You would need to download a trial copy of Bluebeam Revu if you don’t have it already and sign up/into Studio to access the Test Folder (ID below) 2. Download "1 Unit Types" & "1 Markup" files from Bluebeam Project to your computer to be marked up (Don’t work on the files in the Studio project) 3. Measure Interior Walls and ceilings of Level 1 unit Type A on "1 Unit Types" drg 4. Measure External & Unit Party Walls to the same on "1 Markup" 5. Measure all Scope items including the following Wall Linings & framing, (as per wall schedule in 1 of the project files including the not so obvious walls) Ceiling Linings & Framing, including blkheads both shown on plan and those that arnt but identified through ceiling heights changes (as per plans & wall schedule in 1 of the project files) 90deg Corners, (to ext corners of plastered walls) insulation, (as per energy & acoustic reports and wall types provided) Cornices, (where indicated and where would be necessary) Square set reveals, (where required) Door frames where fitted to light steel wall framing including sliding door track to ceilings 6. Looking for design ideas etc. I currently have a home that was built in the 1970, in need of a curb appeal update, also the home currently has a two car garage under the home (on the left side of the house) that is noisy when the garage door is opened and the bedrooms are above. Additionally, I have a second driveway on the right side of the house that is more practical to enter the house especially with groceries. I am looking at options but what I am considering is relocating the 2 car garage (may need to be a bit bigger for storage etc) to the right side of the house and build a connector from the existing side door to the garage so that we can go from the cars directly to the house. Bushes & driveway on right side of the house would have to be rebuilt to accommodate the new 2 garage; the driveway would be wide at the garage and narrow to get to the street. I would also like to change the curb appeal by possible adding doghouses to break up the roof line and change the entrance way. I want to change the siding of the house, as of now we have 11-12" old redwood siding that is painted and box out windows with trim. etc. very open to new ideas to change the look of the front of the house. Where the existing two car garage is I would like to close the wall and add a door (or French doors or other) to allow access to the basement from that side, door would need to favor the left side of existing opening so I can use the remaining space for storage.
