Project Description

I want a simple, basic, no-frills 6-band equalizer similar to the Creative (sound blaster) (or some other) equalizer. Just an equalizer interface, not the additional effects. NO Dolby, 3D, etc. Just the Equalizer.

It needs to be capable of running invisibly in the background, and to be invoked from the command line, with 'presets' in an INI file.

This utility must be built with as many resources as possible to allow minor modifications (like button labels) to be made using 'reshacker', a well-known and incredible useful programmer's tool. [url removed, login to view]

The main interface must be a resource.

It must apply it's effects to whatever sound is playing while it's running.

It must be able to save presets by adjusting the sliders, and then pressing a 'save current settings' button.

You only need to create one preset as a sample.

VERY IMPORTANT: The lowest band must cover 1 hertz to 30 hertz (ultra-low)

The bands needed here differ from the standard ones in that they include the very lowest frequencies. The rest of the bands are standard.

It also needs a basic Decibel slider.

There are several equalizer softwares that can serve as examples (of the idea, not execution):

winamp: [url removed, login to view] (10 bands)

webEQ: [url removed, login to view] (10 bands)

Creative labs: [url removed, login to view] (7 bands)

Windows: [url removed, login to view] (10 bands)

Be prepared to communicate with me, and please know that a screenshot is not a demo :-P And, of course, you need to submit the source files when the project is complete.

I have posted jobs in the past that got bids in the thousands of dollars, but were settled for just a few bucks. Please be competitive in your bidding. Don't worry if you don't have any feedback - your comments showing your grasp of the job will be more important than any
other concern.
