Project Description

Out of a TO-DO list made out of approximately 16 items. This is a start up project for business intelligence in the cloud. A total of 8 modules are currently being built, this project will be one of the 8, that is, the client portal built on top of UMBRACO CMS. The skillset required is more than a web designer and rather a web C# [url removed, login to view] mvc developer who has extended experience on UMBRACO CMS.

An NDA will be required to be signed since some licensed software source code will have to be shared with you.

Tasks will include but not be limited to:

1- Merging the following template as the underlying template for umbraco. This template below is a highly responsive html template for desktops, tablets, and mobiles. It will need to be merged into Umbraco:

[url removed, login to view]

2- This will be setup as a portal, the homepage is the LOGIN page (client portal). Once inside the portal (authenticated) the client will have access to the dashboards as shown in item (1)

3- Your experience in Umbraco will be required at this stage and this is where you can shine and increase your skillset. The functionality of Umbraco will have to be leveraged to its full potential in order to build Macros and other Snippets, and codes to help an Admin user build visual dashboards. The link in (1) shows a number of bar charts, pie charts, area charts, and data tables with filtering. The goal will be to design and integrate the following:

3.1 - A set of pre-defined macros (or other approach) to offer a library of pre-defined charts and tables. These will be linked with the SQL Server database through web services (NO postback).

3.2 - A form builder to build a filter (drop downs, check boxes). This filter form will trigger the web service with the SQL statement that will include the filter arguements. This web service(s) will return data specified in order to feed the charts and tables pre-defined in 3.1 (these controls are given to you in item 1 above

3.3 - Once these macros or other pre-defined objects are built in a library, these are now available under a new page in WYSIWG (html builer GUI of Umbraco, etc). The important at this point is to have a minum of coding and let the user build his dashboard (the coding is in 3.1/3.2, whereas the layouting and dashboard design is in the page creation section of umbraco, objects/snippets are in drop downs, etc

4. API to log into Umbraco from WPF app

5. Templating inside the Admin portal of Umbraco to reflect the same style, colour, fonts as in template in item 1

Phase II, III, and IV, V will include additional work, re-evaluation of your work at this point will be timely....

More question, misunderstanding, do not hesitate.

Thank you.
