Project Description

We are looking for an experienced travel writer to rewrite the Hong Kong section of our travel guide based on existing research already performed, which includes the following:

1) Overview Page, with the following sections:
• Introduction (target approx. 150 words-300 words)
• Getting Around (currently 900 words, but we would like to cut this down to 300 words)
• Districts (200 words)

2) Overview for 67 attractions (approx. 150-300 words each)

Here is a link to the existing content:

password: hongkong

This was compiled using public sources such as Wikipedia and Wikitravel. While we believe the content to be mostly accurate, we find it too bland and factual. We are now looking for a seasoned writer to add some flavor by rewriting the existing content.

The content should concise and easy to read, and we want to keep the tone of the writing fun and relaxed. Each overview should answer the following questions and should aim to make the user want to visit the destination/attraction. In some cases, additional research on the destination/attraction may be required:

• What is the place?
• Why you should go there?
• What is unique about it (if applicable)?

Local knowledge of Hong Kong is preferred but not required. The writer should perform his/her own background research to get a feel of the city. The writer must also be able to convince the reader that you have personally been to the destination/attractions that you are writing about, and that you are an expert on the subject.

All writing must be 100% original and must pass copyscape tests. The writer must agree in writing not reuse the content and that all rights in the content are transferred to us. We are looking for a partner that we can work with over a longer term. Depending on the quality of the work, the successful bidder may receive offers on similar work for hundreds of other cities.

Happy bidding!
