The project entails transferring client notes from an older unsupported program, into a new web app This can be achieved by using copy and paste from the remote session into a web browser.
There are a total of approximately 2400 clients, therefore this process has to be done 2400 times. Once you are used to it, it should take about 30 second per client, which comes out to about 20 hours of work. We would like to get this completed in a week's time,
The notes are listed on in 2 different locations in the old program, in 2 separate tabs, both very easily accessible.
We will demo how to do it, and you may use our way of doing it or a come up with a new way. However, ACCURACY and DILIGENCE is required with each client. If you need to pause/break take your time.
The notes are written in this format:
DATE NOTE 1
DATE NOTE 2
10-10-11 Cleaned x surface, etc
12-5-12 Room has x square feet, needs x product etc
Additionally while the notes are being updated in the web app, you should confirm that if the phone number has 10 digits (ex 847-555-4444) it is hyphenated properly. So say the number is listed as 8475554444, it should be changed to 847-555-4444. The proper US 10 digit is 3digits-3digits-4digits. If the number is listed with a 1 in front, always take out the 1 (eg. 1-847-555-4444 or 18475554444 should become 847-555-444). If the phone number is missing or is anything else than what described above, just leave it unchanged. 90% of the phone numbers listed should already be properly formatted, so this will take the least time to check/fix.
