This book was ten years in the making, with three editors. I am in the process of finishing the edits with Grammarly. It was published back in 2004, and I will republish with the same ISBN and cover. I only had the original PDF file that was submitted, which I converted to DOCX to edit. It has gone through 11 revisions counting the current one. Grammarly caught 2000+ issues that none of my editors nor I picked up. I just need help with the layout. The formatting didn't transfer well from PDF to DOCX. Some pages have hard enters at the end, forcing the next page to start with a capital letter (according to what the software decided). If you do notice something that seems out of place, like some necessary edits, you can track changes so I can then approve those I would like to. The novel is 292-pages and has been self-published. But they are letting me make these significant edits and resubmit the inside contents for future prints of the book. Sometimes due to formatting, only a single word will be on a page, and that wastes a page. There shouldn't be any severe editing needed. Mainly just the layout of the book. I may have to get the margins ready for the publisher. The width of a line changes depending on the content. I have the old PDF as well as the new DOCX, to compare fonts if needed. Changing the formatting is tricky because sometimes it messes up a whole paragraph. Sometimes there are no extra lines between paragraphs, and sometimes there are additional blank lines, so it is not consistent. I need someone with the skill of knowing how to lay out paragraphs. There's poetry as well, so I'd like to keep that centered. I'm using MS Office Pro 2016. I should have the finishing edits this week, or in the next few days. I don't know what the rates are going for since I am new here. But I am flexible with payments if it is fair. The goal is to convert it back to PDF for re-submission to the publisher and to also have a DOCX for reference. The DOCX file should already have the margins set correctly. When I hear back from my publisher, I can further inform you. It shouldn't be too hard to make it consistent. Strange things happen when I try to make some changes, and the words get all bunched up and go from double-space to single-space in some paragraphs. They also lose their justify alignment. As mentioned, there may be some minor editing and proofreading. I use Grammarly which is excellent for finding errors, with like 400+ checks it does, and it adapts to my style of writing.
