Sorry I have to re-post this project, as the logic of this site does not seem to allow a freelancer to lower her bid after the bidding deadline - even if this is due to project clarification and has been communicated in PM's. So here we go again...

We need a custom schematic design ready for layout, which can implement an RMS level to DC level converter for detecting a signal amplitude with an A/D converter.

Input frequency: 1 Hz to 500 MHz
Input range: -90 dBm to +10 dBm
Accuracy: 0.1 dBm
Board size: max 100 mm by 50 mm
Power source: USB

The device is a simple analog in, analog out detector for measuring RMS value of a small signal in the frequency range 1 Hz to 500 MHz. With the input signal applied at the input, the output should be a DC voltage in the range of 0V to about 3V for feeding into a suitable A/D converter. The A/D converter is not part of the detector, but suitable types may be suggested.

USB power is optional - if you can make it work on USB power, you have a much better solution. But feel free to suggest a solution that requires maybe [url removed, login to view] DC plus less than some number of mV AC ripple up to some frequency if you want. I will consider that as well.

For accuracy or linearity, the important thing is really being able measure the whole range of -90dBm to +10dBm with a resolution of [url removed, login to view] both in terms of absolute and relative accuracy.

This may require calibration - preferably build in and automatic. And it may require a table/function to translate from the output voltage to the measured input level. That is perfectly okay and the table/function would then be implemented outside of this project on a PC.
