Project Description

We require a Linux Zynq FPGA based data logging system that simultaneously captures 20 channels of high speed RS422 data at a high baud rate and video from IP camera(s).
Linux operating system will run on Zynq processor core and get RS422 data from FPGA side of Zynq chip. Data will be stored on SATA and SD drives.
Data will be recovered and viewed using HTTP AND FTP interface with web server running in same Linux core.
Coder will be required to code storage application in Linux, RS422 acquisition in VHDL and active server pages for HTTP user interface.

CODER NEEDS TO HAVE ACCESS TO HIS/HER OWN XILINX ZYNQ ZED BOARD FOR DEVELOPMENT.
We have our own Zynq board which we will use to test code as project progresses.

Deliverables:
• Well documented VHDL, Linux storage application and HTTP active server pages.
• Circuit schematic
• Instructions to set up and program Zynq with supplied code.

PCB:
Upon project completion, and provided the coder is capable, we may post another project for the coder to design a PCB layout from the provided schematic to fit in to our final product enclosure.

Coder:
Coder should be able to demonstrate previous successful projects in advanced Zynq design with previous Zynq embedded projects that have utilised the Linux operating system.
Coder should give regular progress updates (twice a week) and ask if there are any ambiguities.
Coder should speak fluent English and be available via telephone and/or Skype.
