Project Description

This is a research project for the iTunes App Store. I'm looking for 20 or more apps that would be well-suited for development in Corona SDK. Please refer to the detailed requirements below for more information.

## Deliverables

This is an iTunes App Store research project. There is NO CODING involved, however if you are familiar with iPhone app coding with the Corona SDK, that would probably help somewhat. I would like you to identify 20 (or more) existing iPhone apps that would be good candidates for coding in the Corona SDK. You can read more about Corona here: [url removed, login to view] Corona is extremely well-suited for 2D (NOT 3D!) games, simple multimedia apps, kids/educational apps, and some other types of apps. You can see some of the apps that have been created in the Corona SDK here: [url removed, login to view] This hopefully will give you a better idea of the types of apps that are good for Corona. Please ensure that the apps that you find meet the following criteria: 1) They are not over-complicated. In other words, they are apps that a good developer could reasonably re-create in about 2 - 4 weeks. In other words, no "Angry Birds"-level apps! I also do not want apps that are so simple and trivial that they could be completed in an hour. 2) They are not 3D apps. Corona does not do 3D well. Corona does 2D apps very well, though. 3) They are not apps produced by major companies like Zynga or Google or Yahoo. I'm looking for apps produced by small companies and independent developers. I'm especially looking for apps that appear to have been "abandoned" by their developers. 4) They are not free apps. 5) They are apps that do NOT have more than a 4-star rating, but which COULD have a 5-star rating if the developers fixed some bugs and made some improvements to the app. My idea is to take some potentially good apps, improve them and fix bugs by re-implementing them in Corona, and then tweaking the design and content a bit to avoid copyright infringement. So, I don't want to compete with apps that are already perfect, but rather with apps that could use improvement. 6) The graphics are not very polished. Some apps have very high-level, polished graphics. It will be hard for me to improve on polished graphics since I'm not a good designer. However, if the app uses mainly just simple shapes and lines to produce it's design, then I can probably improve on that. Good luck! Again, I'm looking for at least 20 such apps. If you can find more, of course that would be even better!
