The finished product will be a Google Sheet with the names, personal email addresses, and other relevant information of music bloggers (anyone who regularly contributes to music blogs/online magazines/etc). The bulk of the work will be in research and data mining to find the bloggers and their personal emails. In the end, I'd like to have 150 different bloggers in the database. You'll use search terms I provide to find blog articles on the website Hype Machine ([url removed, login to view]). When you see an appropriate article, you'll click on it to visit the blog that originally wrote the article. Normally, the author's name will be listed at the top or bottom of the page. You'll then need to track down the personal email of this blogger. I'll provide a few tips on how to do this, but it isn't a perfect science – it'll often take some digging. It's very important that you get the PERSONAL email of the blogger, as opposed to the generic submission email of a website. We have a Google script that is suppose to create new Google Calendar events based on information on a Google Spreadsheet (see attached). The script no longer works with Google Calendar, so it needs to be updated. More specifically, it appears that the script executes properly, but Google Calendar only creates the first event (//create event on 5 years) and ignores the other events (for example, //create event on 6 years ).
