Project Description

ATTENTION FASHION STUDENTS: CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
Seeking technical design sketches for a new wedding shoe line.

Designers are invited to submit technical drawings for “Rustic” style wedding shoes to be included in a new line of wedding shoes. Five to ten designs will be selected to be included in the line. Accepted designs will be compensated at $25 per sketch. If you are interested in the project please submit a link to your portfolio along with a draft design.

Requirements:
The shoes must fit the “Rustic” wedding style as described below. The design should be for a comfortable shoe with heels no higher than 4”. No platform shoes. Submissions MUST be technical drawings, including all necessary details- material used, heel height, color, and all measurements.

Rustic Style: The “Rustic” wedding is held in the country, outside in nature with an inviting, warm and cozy feel to it. The venue is most likely a wide open field or a barn, with an intimate gathering of family and friends and a small band or DJ playing. The emphasis is on comfort, and the guests would be dressed elegantly but casually. The bride would wear a beautiful white gown, but it would be free-flowing and comfortable enough to dance in. The bride and groom would drive to the reception in a pickup truck or tractor.

The shoes for this wedding should match the atmosphere of the event, and not overpower the bride’s look or distract from her natural beauty. The look should be toned down and comfortable, with a country aesthetic.
