Project Description

I have a simple Flash file with 7 BMP buttons in it - I need each button to send a TCP command to another computer to control some external software.

The external software is called PlayBack Pro Plus (it will load a play a videoclip from a playlist of clips).

The external software listens on TCP port 4647

I need the Flash application to connect to port 4647 and send a command for each of the 7 buttons:
Button 1 - send command "GT1" (without quotes)
Button 2 - send command "GT2" (without quotes)
Button 3 - send command "GT3" (without quotes)
Button 4 - send command "GT4" (without quotes)
Button 5 - send command "GT5" (without quotes)
Button 6 - send command "GT6" (without quotes)
Button 7 - send command "GT7" (without quotes)

Important: The command will not be accepted by the external software unless it's sent without a return character at the end of the string (hopefully this shouldn't be a problem sending the command through code like this).

I can specify any IP address for the computers running on the network - let's use 192.168.0.2 (for the computer running Flash), and 192.168.0.3 (for the computer running the external software) - therefore, the code in Flash will connect to, and send the command to 192.168.0.3.
