Project Description

Anyone want to make a quick $20? I need a good looking smoothed over stick figure man created. The stick figure must represent a professional worker. I need three designs which can all stem from the original concept with a simple addon.

Concept One:

I need a stick figure that resembles a professional working man. One idea is, a stick figure with a tie? Perhaps the tie can be swinging outward just a little bit so the design doesn't look congested with all the lines. (just an idea, create what you think is best)

Concept Two:

I need my stick figure with a tie holding what is obviously a briefcase in his hand.

Concept Three:

I need my stick figure with a tie to be thinking, brainstorming and pondering. A tie is not necessary here but could include putting his hands up to his chin with an idea cloud. (again do what you think is best, just trying to elaborate)

Q & A:

Do you want your stick figure in color?

No. Black and white is fine.

Does your stick figure need a hat or any other accessories?

Look, my stick figure is a punk for causing me so much of a headache in having to type all this. But the bottom line is, we need him. If you want to add a hat, add a hat. Add whatever you think gives him the professional character I need. Just do me a favor and don't expect to get paid for a crossdressing stick figure that's seen committing some highly obscene sexual crime. Keep in mind stick figures can be challenging when you start adding too much stuff because too many lines intersect.

Why are you only paying me $20?

A few reasons. One, this is just a stick figure design. If you're experienced, this can't take you more than an hour. If I were better with art, I would design it myself. Drawing a stick figure in a vector program is relatively simple especially since most applications auto-smooth. Secondly, I'm working with a low budget or I would be a bit more generous. Working for $20/hour isn't exactly bad in this economy either. It's more than I make.

What program do you want this designed in?

I prefer Illustrator. I will need to resize these figures from time to time. Vector is imperative.

How soon do you want this project completed?

Today if possible. I mean seriously. It's a stick figure design.

What do you expect of your stick figure?

Bring my stick figure to life. He needs to live. I am using this guy on a website. I decided to go with a stick figure because its simple and clean. So my logo must be neat, clean and not jagged. Anyone can throw together a bunch of lines on an artboard. Bring my guy to life!

Why don't you do the stick figure yourself if you're so great?

Like every other American, I'm lazy and I already have enough work to do. I've developed some really nice concepts in the past but it takes me so long because I am not artistic. You are.

What if I do good on this project, will I get anymore work from you?

I can honestly say yes. I am involved in a web project that will require intensive graphic design in November. This could be a stepping stone to more work as I will have to delegate out portions of the project I am managing. I am not promising you the world but I am telling you that if this project comes out right without any real issues, I'll contact you in November.

Are you a reasonable guy?

Yes but I do have standards and expectations that I must meet. I can not have my stick figure looking like some crazed drunken bum drew him. I need a clean looking professional image of a stick figure. I have given you some great ideas now build off them.
