Project Description

We are looking for a knowledgeable and skilled web developer/designer to build a private community and membership site. Our vision is to have a forum where people can post discussion topics, questions, and happenings and we also want a nice section to showcase new video content and interviews we will post.

This is a pretty specific automotive niche we are targeting and we want the backend to function well. It should be easy on the eyes and straightforward for a user to navigate.

The community will be paid and private and users will be charged on a recurring basis in 6-month or 1-year increments. The content should not be indexed by Google or other search engines. Experience with E-commerce and private communities before would be ideal for this job.

Required Skills:

*Wordpress
*PHP
*Strong Verbal and Written English
*E-commerce
*Payment integration
*Skype or Google+ Hangouts
*MyBB
*phpBB

Suggested Skills:

*Internet marketing
*Squeeze Pages
*Email newsletters
*Email marketing
*List segmentation

We are considering using the Wordpress S2 member plugin coupled with open source forum software like MyBB or phpBB. We'd use one of the plugin bridges. We are also open to considering other forum software such as IPBoard or Xenforo which seems easier to for admins, mods, and users. Other software we have been considering is OptimizePress. Whatever software we use it has to have SSO (single sign on) functionality so that Wordpress and the forum software integrate well.

Our thoughts are whatever forum software we use we'd like for new topics to be emailed to users each day/weel to encourage engagement. Also we want people to get emails when they are replies in threads. We'd also like advice running email marketing newsletters for private community and list segmentation.

It would be helpful if the web designer also had experience building squeeze pages. We'd like to convince people to join and use a squeeze page for PPC (pay per click) campaigns. If you have internet marketing skills and experience with PPC campaigns on different social media platforms, that is a plus.

Whoever we choose we would pay an initial fee to get the community setup with payment gateways, the forum, video section, etc. After that we are interested in having you keep all the backend part of the community and can work out additional monetary compensation. We don't want to have to keep negotiating to fix issues with the site when they come up. This can definitely turn into an ongoing business relationship, so keep that in mind when you respond.

Respond with the words "super awesome dogs" at the start of your message reply so that we know you've read this whole job posting. We will have other aspects of this membership site to discuss with you.

Look forward to talking with you.
