Project Description

I am looking for a quick turnaround on this project. Please bid only if you are available to do work during the next week.

I am having a site built to be a hub for ride-sharing. The site is near completion, but I have grown to hate the homepage. The layout will be difficult to change at this point, but the main image on the homepage can be swapped out. It is likely there will be other design elements needed as follow-on work (mobile site, posters etc).

The site requests something difficult from the user: get into a car with a stranger. For this reason, the homepage must make the user feel serene and secure. It targets a university audience so the design must be clean and up to date. I very much like simplicity and do not want a busy home that will detract or confuse from the goals of the home.

Main goals:
User sees main message: ‘Carpool with Carmah’
Get the user to do a search, (to, from, date, driver/passenger)

Secondary messages:
Tagline: ‘canada’s hub for ridesharing’
Earn Rewards
Meet People

Add a couple stars at the end of your bid if you've read this. **

The current draft includes an image of carpoolers. The rationale was that when presented with the idea of carpooling, people imagine the worst: an image of a moustached man kidnapper. I wanted to insert an image of young attractive people as partners in their mind before they fill the void with their own creation. However, the image looked like stock art and was not the latest in internet design. It did not work.

Please share thoughts you have on how to approach the project and if you have done similar projects in the past (provide links pls).

Thanks
