Project Description

I need a self ordering touch kiosk software to work with a touch screen monitor for our shop. Customers will choose what they want and the order (with the customers name) would be printed on shop printer. I will need to be able to customize and add/delete items with photos and descriptions easily, so that my employees can keep the inventory accurate without having an IT person come make all changes.

I want a simple GUI with the ability to change the background image.

The GUI should be simple for the user. The Monitor being used is a 24 inch widescreen 1080p touch monitor. We are using Windows 8. When the user first approaches the kiosk, they should be presented with 4 categories (4 large buttons) and an option to find product in alphabetical order by displaying a button for each letter of the alphabet atop the screen. When they touch the category they wish to browse, they will be presented with a list of matching products with images and short descriptions. When the choose a product, they will be asked to choose options in size, strength, and ratio. After they choose the options that fit their needs, they will have the option to add to cart and complete order or add and continue shopping.

When they complete their order, they will be asked to type in their name. (no keyboard will be present, so this needs to be an on-screen keyboard)

Then the order will print to a network printer.

They will not be paying for it at this screen, so no transactions will need to take place. This is simply caching their selections and then printing their order.

I can draw up a design concept to help with the process.
