(Traditional) Chinese translator/writer (E-->Chinese) for an exclusive distributor of French wooden toys in Taiwan. The candidate should master both languages. The documents to be translated and transliterated into Chinese (Mandarin) are general, commercial, promotional, marketing and business-related documents for the general public and the educational field. The translations should be FINAL, i.e. translated, edited and proofread and ready-to-be-published on paper and on Internet websites. When one or two competent and reliable translators are selected and approved, s/he will be involved in translating several educational booklets. The subject: How to trigger and stimulate the imagination, creativity and inspiration of young children. But for the time being, a translator is needed to write documents into easy-to-understand Chinese language.

We pay the standard rate generally acceptable, but you could mention your rate per (source) word. For your information, a proficient translation should be able to translate at least 2000 words per day (the UN requests 1500 words). Please indicate also your turn-around time. When writing to us you could send a sample of a translation you did recently along with the English version.
