Project Description

A Web-based games application that will allow the user(s) to play certain games on the website and earn points. There are three examples in our mind at the moment for such games.

1) Spelling Bee: In this game, an English WORD is SPOKEN and the user is asked to SPELL it. The user's spellings are then compared to the actual spelling and if correct, the user continues. The time taken by users to spell the words is also noted and points awarded accordingly.

(Use the Play & Train section on this website to get a better idea)

2) Online Crossword: Interactive Crossword application that allows the users to play crossword online and times them as well. The point are then allocated.

3) Multiple Choice Questions: A set of questions is posted to the users (one by one) from a pool of questions in the database. Some questions are in text format while others in video format.

Example of a Text Question: 1987 World Cup was won by: (1) West Indies (2) Australia (3) Pakistan (4) India

Example of a Video Question: Video of a cricket ball bowled by Wasim Akram is paused just before it is pitched...... user is given four options to guess what happened in this ball (LBW Out, LBW Turned Down by the umpire, Bowled or a Cover Drive resulting in a boundary) - Again users are given points based on the number of questions they answered correctly and also the time they took in answering.

The website will also have other pages etc, however at the moment please just provide a individual quotations for the applications mentioned above. Please try to keep the quotations as low as possible.

Thanks
