I need someone to design a Flash Card Program. I will give my students a link to download the Flash Cards on their computer. They will then use the flash cards on their own computer to study for a certification exam.
The program will consist of 400 premade flash cards. When the study session is initiated by the student, one flash card will show. This will be the front of the flash card that contains the question. When ready, the student will click for the back side of the card to appear beside the question. Then they can click to advance to the next card.
As each flash card is reviewed, the student will select a score that represents their familiarity with that flash card. If they know the flash card well, the flash card is automatically scheduled for review less frequently. If they don't know the flash card well, the flash card is automatically scheduled for review more frequently. The automatic review scheduling system keeps them focused on the material they need to practice, not the material they already know.
The student will score their familiarity of each flash card with:
Rate Familiarity with This Card:
I will give the chosen coder all of the questions for the front side and all of the answers for the back side of each card. You will load all flash cards into the system.
I do not know if this is a Java application or not. It does not matter how you build it as long as it works for all of my students. The program must be tested and compatible with most computers and operating systems including 98, XP and Vista. PC and Mac.
An excellent example of this type of program is Flash Card Manager by Vendant Software. Do a Google search for Vendant Flash Cards and take a look.
