Project Description

I currently have a project that is near complete but have some issues that need to be resolved. The background on the project is its a sign builder using the HTML5 canvas and jCanvas to render the text on the screen. First person who can complete a few of these tasks and demo it to me will win the project. Then you can complete the rest of the tasks in the list.
Things we need to get done ASAP are as follows:
- Average Width formula calculation
-- For this see table in attached word document
- Select finishes and fonts from modal
-- I have a set of inputs that are being selected and some of those inputs are determining what to pass to the canvas. What needs to happen here is that I have a modal that shows a list of all finishes and fonts. I want to be able to select one from the modal and then click save. This should then update the input section with that value and update the canvas and carts accordingly. There is already a javascript method that is called on finishchange and fontchange so I want to somehow try to make use of those methods or overload the method to support this new functionality so there is no duplication of code
- auto select inputs when editing order and render canvas
-- When all the inputs have been made the user clicks on "Checkout". If there are any issues with the sign and they want to make changes they click on "Edit Order". It then jumps back to the sign builder screen and currently is able to select a few of the inputs but not all of them are being selected. This needs to be fixed. The canvas then needs to redraw by calling the writeText() method I have.
- scale width of text to length of canvas using the scaling method

- acquire x,y coordinates of layer once dragged
-- Each text line is generated as a layer in the canvas. When initialized it is given some default x,y coordinates. The layer can then be moved around. Need to obtain the new coordinates so it can be saved for later editing
- handle multiple lines
-- scaling needs to work and be handled for multiple text lines (first make sure it works with no problems with a single line. Once I verify all is well this part can be worked on)
- position each text line to center of canvas
