Project Description

We are looking to contract for the development of an add-on to Google Apps/Gmail Compose window. These will come in forms of browser extensions such as .crx for Chrome and .xpi for Firefox.

We have the source code for the old version that worked with the legacy Gmail compose interface. You can get an idea of what it does by visiting: [url removed, login to view]

This proposal is to develop a check box that will add custom/predefined text into the body of the email. The checkbox should act as a toggle, and the text should be removed upon un-checking the box.

The add-on should support the current and last 2 versions of the following browsers:
Internet-Explorer
Google Chrome
Mozilla Firefox
Apple safari

There will also be a clickable icon that will bring up a pop-up window.

There should be 2 versions of the add-on for each browser.
Predefined text version:
When a user checks the checkbox, a predefined line of text will be inserted into the footer of the email. The icon next to the check box should bring up a small pop-up window that will include some instructions and a link to our website.

Custom text version:
When a user checks the checkbox, a custom line of text will be inserted into the footer of the email. The icon next to the checkbox should bring up a pop-up window that allows the users to edit the text to be inserted. This information should be stored in the users' machines to be reused in the future.

We are looking to have this completed within the next 3 weeks.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
