Project Description

We provide a web-based email response and CRM application that uses the .NET framework (4.0) and a service-oriented architecture. We are looking for a single developer that has excellent javascript experience and has worked on web-based application user interface design and development. Our current application uses [url removed, login to view], AJAX, some javascript, and a full set of web services we have developed. We plan to re-write the user interface for this application in a more maintainable and responsive framework (such as [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view], AngularJS, Spine, CanJS).

We recently integrated a Rich Text Editor (CLEditor) into the application and have experienced performance issues with users running Windows XP and IE8. This initial project is to evaluate our Javascript and identify changes that will make the page perform better on Windows XP / IE8. It performs fine on new machines and even FireFox / Chrome on Windows XP.

An example of a page running the RTE that must be evaluated is here: [url removed, login to view]

An example of the basic RTE that does not have the same performance issues is here: [url removed, login to view]

We intend to select a couple of people for this project, and the one that does the best job will be awarded additional work related to the rewrite of the application. We will evaluate your suitability based on your experience with these frameworks and how you perform on this initial project.
