Project Description

Need an Android app that is a tracking app for Major League Baseball (MLB). Must be able to embed graphics such as the stadium seating charts like those at www.seatingcharts.com. Must have login (can be with Facebook and/or Twitter if that’s easiest). Must be willing to sign a non-disclosure statement BEFORE starting work. The app just needs to have basic functionality for now, so that’s the reason for the budget. Bidders MUST have at least a basic knowledge of American baseball. I am looking for US-based app writers. The app will be connected to a website where the data from the app will be stored for members to see; the winner will need to create a Joomla! extension for it, that mirrors the apps. I want a Joomla! platform because I am very familiar with it, and it’s open source which allows the winning bidder to perhaps locate an extension, component or plug-in that can be updated or upgraded for the purposes of this app and site.

Simply put: The app user attends a baseball game, taps the section they are sitting in, and that click registers on our website, so we can track the seating. Each stadium seating chart will need to be modified so each section can be clicked on. (Each team already has this “clickability” available on their team sites, so something like this exists already.) NO data, except login stuff will be kept on phone. The app and site will have the same logins, but the app will be free and the site will be paid.

The winning bid will get first right of refusal for further developing the app, site and creating a new app. Full details will be given to the contractor awarded this project.

Need someone who can do the job correctly the first time. They also need to have had success with creating Android apps. I will need to see apps you have created. Bidders need to have a high completion rate, and not have a bloated bid. There is free open source available (such as GPS), so that should cut down on some of the expense. It just needs to be simple and work, no bugs.

I have the basic layout sketched up; the site and app will have very similar set-ups. Like I said: Pretty simple and straight-forward.

Pay scale:
0% down/up front (I want to know you’re not going to take my money and run)
30% when Android app is shown to be working, has been tested for bugs and is online in the app store; when all work is satisfactorily completed and source code handed over.
60% when website portion is working and tested and source code and control handed over.
10% bonus offered if deadline is beat, even by a day.
