Project Description

Very simple mobile project…

[url removed, login to view]

Small local database (.sdf) with one table holding information on car registration….

It has the columns:

Id(primary)
Rfid string
Reg string
Make string
Model string
Owner string
Address string
Tax_expire date
Insurance_expire date
Points int

Check out… [url removed, login to view]

Milestone 1)

The program takes in a simple string… looks up the table and displays the car information on the screen… no editing of info will be allowed.

The systems date will be checked against the tax and insurance….

If the cars tax or insurance has expired…. The overall colour of the screen will be a shade of red… and the problem is highlighted…

If the points are greater than 9… the screen is a shade of red…. And points are highlighted….

Otherwise the screen is a shade of green….

Milestone 2)

Instead of entering the simple string manually the string will be read through an RFID reader… which will be an STIO card for the mobile device. I’ve ordered an RFID reader that has a .net library so there should not be many problems getting this to work. Ill let you know more when I get it.

The whole idea is that a traffic warden can just walk up to a car… scan a RFID sticker on the car. And the car details will be displayed automatically on screen. Highlighting any problems if necessary.

Very simple project.

We can deal with the RFID side when I get the reader.

This should not take long. And if it goes well on my side… there might be some more work.

Please send me a PM if you have any questions...

This should be a 3-4 hour project at the most. Budget is approximately $150.
