Exciting SaaS startup seeking full-stack JavaScript developer (NodeJS, ReactJS, MongoDB, Instagram API) Hi there :) We are a small, bootstrapped (and profitable!) SaaS startup in the social media marketing space, seeking a full-stack JavaScript developer (NodeJS, ReactJS, MongoDB) to join our growing team. For this test project, you will be responsible for first designing (then developing) a simple, stand-alone Instagram search tool. If this project is completed well, there will be more work immediately. **The requirements are as follows** - User logs in using Instagram Auth - After login, the the user sees a simple search bar inviting the user to search for a Hashtag, and the option to "Log Out" - On submit, user is taken to the Search Results Page **The Search Results Page includes the following** - The search query at the top, and a link to “New Search” - An optional date-range selector under the search query (search defaults to all-time). If the user selects a date range, the page refreshes with the date-range filter applied. - A row with basic stats related to the hashtag (# Posts, # Users, List of 10 Related Hashtags & how many posts are in each related hasthag) - A list of the 40 most recent images related to the hashtag in reverse-chronological order, along with User Name, Date/Time, # Likes, # Comments, Caption, and Option to View Comments - Under the 40th image, a button to “load more images”. If the user clicks the button, the next 40 images are loaded below the existing images. - User can Like and Comment on photos directly from the results page For the first step of this project, I will hire the top 5-10 applicants to a test project, which will be to submit wireframes and designs of the product described above (we will be judging you based on your ability to design simple, beautiful software - solid design and UI/UX skills are a must!). I will pick the top 3 designs, and hire the 3 finalists to actually build the search tool they designs, and to have it up and running on a development server I can access to test its functionality as described. **Technology Requirements - You must be able to build the tool (and others) using the following technologies** - NodeJS - ReactJS - MongoDB - HTML/CSS - Social Media APIs (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) - Strong product and UI/UX instincts PLEASE INCLUDE: A link to your portfolio, including GitHub, and links to examples of products **you've designed**!! That's it! Thanks for reading - I look forward to reviewing your application! VERY IMPORTANT: To separate you from the spammers, please write your favorite color as the first line of your bid. We will delete all bids that do not start with this phrase, since most bidders never read the requirements. Thank you for being one who does. 21 Javascript, NoSQL Couch & Mongo, node.js, Instagram, React.js Jun 25, 2017 Jun 25, 20175d 4h $20

Spark / Scala app which transforms Mongo documents to PG We have a Mongo collection where each document represents a social media account. Within each document there are two subdocuments: - Datapoints, representing account performance over time (e.g. "1493054260" : {"followers" : 19293}, …) - Posts, representing individual posts (e.g. "1498520662183054948_599924410" : { “likes”: 23, “comments”: 8 }) We would like a Spark / Scala application which performs some calculations on the data in each document, and then ouputs datapoints from all documents to a single PG ‘datapoints’ table, and ouputs posts from all documents to a single PG ‘posts’ table. The required calculations are: - Datapoints: The time is an epoch timestamp in seconds. The PG datapoints table should use epoch day number (e.g. 17341), which means interpolating followers between datapoints to find the followers at midnight (e.g. if followers at 11pm is 3, and at 1am is 5, then the midnight value we want is 4). - Posts: Each posts has separate ‘likes’ and ‘comments’ fields. The PG posts table should include these as well as a separate column representing their sum (‘engagement’). It should also include ‘engagement_rate’, which is the engagement of the post divided by the account followers on the day the post was posted (i.e. from the datapoints subdocument). We can supply a json of data for you to work with. Bonus requirements are: - Include some tests - Deploy the application to Travis - Deploy the application to Amazon EMR. Please indicate in your application if you are able to meet any of these. To apply for this job please: - Say a few words about how you would tackle it - Supply some previous Spark / Scala code you have written (e.g. on Github) If you have any questions don’t hesitate to let me know. 4 NoSQL Couch & Mongo, Scala, PostgreSQL, Spark Jun 24, 2017 Jun 24, 20173d 20h $642
