The old database is still active for a live site. We are building a new site but has an old version of the database, since then it has got new orders, customers and products. We need to add this data to the sandbox site regularly as we develop.
We need a script that we can run that will append to our new database (oscmax 2.3.5) specific information from an old but still active database (oscommerce 2.2) starting from the common point of them both. You do not need to necessarily know oscommerce at all to make us what we are asking.
This is not a full port since we already did that. Repeat, we are not porting a full database, just taking new additions on specifically listed (below) tables from the old database and "appending" to the new. Since the new (oscmax) database has some minor differences, all rows that are new will have a null value. Below is tables we need appended with the column differences between databases.
customers - 6 vs 10
customers_info - 12 vs 22
orders - 45 vs 51
orders_products - 11 vs 13
orders_products_attributes : 7 vs 10
orders_products_download : same
orders_status : 3 vs 5
orders_status_history : same
orders_total : same
products - 15 vs 24
product_attributes - 7 vs 11
products_description - 9 vs 16
products_to_categories - same
This can be a bash script that compares two sql files and creates an output for import or any type of runnable code we can hit a button on and make work. The database file of the live site is 120+ MB so keep this in consideration when posting bids.
