Project Description

Hello, thank you for considering this position. Please read the entire description before bidding.

I'm looking for an individual (not a team), who has built several web applications and has experience with Amazon, Ebay & Magento API's for importing orders and products. I need someone who speaks English so fluently that language/communication will never be an issue. This will likely be a native english speaker but that is not a requirement. It would be ideal to find someone who is able to build both the front end (AJAX interface, CSS, etc) as well as handle all backend coding but it is totally acceptable to hire specific things out as long as you let me know ahead of time, manage the assistant you choose fully and remain on schedule.

NOTE: If you have prior experience with SAAS apps please mention this in your response.

I have a clear idea of the functionality and the design I want. I'd like the app to look and function exactly as described in the app description and mockups. If there is something that will present a problem it should be discussed before work on the milestone starts - not during. I'll expect you to fully read the description and view the mockup slides that are relevant to each milestone before beginning work.

We will need to make progress fairly rapidly to meet out deadlines. It would be reasonable to assume you'll need to spend at least 5 hours a day Mon-Fri (25hrs/week) on this project.

Each phase of the project will be broken into milestones. The milestones will be written out, clearly stating what they encompass. An estimated schedule for completion of each milestone will be agreed upon before work on the milestone starts. This will be an estimated schedule, small, infrequent overages will be accommodated. Milestones will generally be small 4-8 hours. I will be able to pay $25/hour so this will keep each milestone between $100-$200. Payment will be released in full at the completion of each milestone.

A clean wireframe version of the first portion of the App is already functional. All of the layout has been thought through so it should be possible to keep the design close to the mockups. You'll need to familiarize yourself with how the app currently works so you can continue it's development. The previous developers have done an excellent job and can be consulted if needed. Once an applicant is chosen and NDA and a Developer agreement are signed you'll receive mockup images and descriptions for the section of the app you'll be working on.

It's important that all functionality be tested for each milestone before it is submitted. I do not test your work - I do a final review. Set time aside for testing when you estimate the time needed for each milestone.

Commenting and clean code will be mandatory. This app is a a joint effort and it needs to be as easy as possible for someone else to understand your code and continue work so it's important that things are clean and well commented.

I put a high importance on my business relationships, honesty is an imperative. Value for value. If this is how you work as well, we should get a long great.

To avoid automated bid responses only applicants who begin their bid response with the following sentence will be considered: I like a tidy database. Thank you for reading, I look forward to your bid.

All work will be done as an independent contractor. All rights to the code will remain property of the buyer, this arrangement is laid out clearly in the Developer Agreement.

If these terms are not favorable or you do not have time to read them please do not contact.
If you represent a team or do not plan on doing the work yourself please do not contact.
If you do not have at least 25hrs/week to devote to this project please do not contact.

Otherwise, I look forward to hearing from you!
-Dan
