Project Description

Hi,
We need to create an extension developed for Joomla 2.5.x and 3.0. The extension is to create Restaurant Menus. The package must be installed as normal ZIP archive from joomla extension manager. This will include a Component, Plugin and Module package. The functions we need are follows:

Component:

Tabs needed... Configuration, Menus, Menu Sections, Menu Items, Menu Templates/Styles
Configuration tab will contain settings for Template Selection. Menu item highlighting with Icons like Special, New, Hot etc. You can upload images of these icons and select them in the item page. In future we could able to add features like online order with PayPal but not for this part of the development. You can also alter currency [url removed, login to view] price will have Currency Prefix such as $, £, €, etc.
There will be option to order an menu item or multiple menu items. And this feature can be enabled or disabled from this Tab.
Menus tab will include Create Menu as Category (i.e. Pizzas)
Menu Items will have drop down selectors for Menus and Menu Sections (Section and Category) and can be created Menu Items under it. (i.e. Double Cheese Pizza, Veg Pizza, Chicken Pizza, etc.). To give an example. The menu name would be Lunch. The menu category would be Pizzas and the menu item would be Chicken Pizza.
And under each item there will be option to add Price. Price can be added as Per Item, Bundle, Etc. There must be options to add columns if needed. So this price columns will be a custom box where we can add it’s Heading (i.e. Single Item) and then it’s Price. That way we can add multiple price when needed. We can also add the item icons here.
An example: [url removed, login to view]
Menu Template/Styles tab will contain an option to select a template. So if needed we can create custom template for menus and install. This should be an easy way to implement so that we don’t need any core file modification.

Module:

The module will be to display any menu in a Joomla module position.
Drop Down menu under module settings to chose a menu.

Plugin:

Simple Plugin to create short codes for menus (i.e. [resmenu 1]). this shortcode will be placed on any Article, module, etc. to display menus by their unique IDs.

Front end display:

The top of each menu there will be three icons. Share, Print, PDF. This must Print both the Menu logo and the items and prices in the same format it is displayed in the front end.
Clicking Share will open options to share through email, facebook etc
Print button will open a print window which user can use to print the menu. Remember to maintain the style, colours, fonts. etc. So that print copy will look exactly same as on webpage. But not include Website navigations. header, etc. Just the menu itself.
The print feature will also have the option to print as a pre-order form. So when you press the print button you have the option to print ‘for you’ or ‘for pre-order’. The only difference between the two will be that the ‘for pre-order’ print-out will include a check box and also a couple of lines to input some personal details.
PDF button will create and save a PDF of the menu with exact same style as on webpage. But not includes Website navigations. header, etc. Just the menu itself.

The next stage of the component development will be to add takeaway reservation and ordering functionality so preference of bidders will go to those who offer preferential rates an will be capable of implementing this.

This extension package will be sole property of ours and cannot be reused or resold by any other person including you.

Thanks
