Project Description

This is a web bot (check [url removed, login to view]). What I want to do is to create a web bot that will monitor Mortgage and banking sites. Here in the US we are in a "mortgage crisis" where mortgage companies are folding or going bankrupt or being bought out. I want to create a web bot that will allow you to put in the name of your Mortgage or bank and a few other keywords and then the bot will go to the companies website (user provides) and then makes a copy of every page on that site. It the creates an MD5 has of each page and then every 4 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, week, it will check those same pages again and create a new MD5 and will compare the two MD5 hashs. If there is a change the user is alerted. It will also do a Google search on those keywords every 4, 12, or 24 hours and report the results back. (I have a perl script that part of the code does a google search and places the results into a report and emails it.)
