Project Description

I need a Flash / ActionScript programmer who can work with a SQL database and build a custom, interactive, front-end video player.

Essentially, I need a front-end flash player (click link to see sample) that is populated with videos uploaded via my CMS builder. I would need the player to work seamlessly with my CMS database.

I would like it to look and perform like this one found at:

[url removed, login to view]

In addition to the features found in the sample player (seen via the link above), I would like the player;

1). Allow the user have the ability to “quick search” for a specific video (within the player) by entering an ID number. For example, the user would have a field contained “within the player” that would allow the user to enter an ID number (that was assigned to the video from within my CMS database). After the user enters the ID number, the corresponding video thumb nail would automatically scroll to the top of the video list and also be displayed in the “featured video” at the top of the player.

2). I'd like the user to be able to add video(s) to a “favorites” playlist. Perhaps they would click a Star Icon to add the video to their favorites list? … The video is somehow highlighted as a favorite within the video list. Perhaps once saved as a favorite, the gold star icon for example would be seen alongside their favorite video(s) as the user scrolls down the rest of the video list.

Furthermore (if favorites are added), the user could choose a radio button option (within the player) just to show “only their favorites” within player’s video list.

Finally the user could send their “favorites list” via email or cut and paste HTML code as they would with just one video as seen in the sample player.

I have a grander vision for this project, so if things work out, we could talk about the next phase and additional projects.
