Project Description

We need to migrate an osCommerce DB to a Magento DB. On the one hand, we'll do a one time migration from osCommerce to Magento (existing orders, products, categories, manufacturers, customers). However, as several webshops are using the osCommerce DB for their business, we also need to periodically migrate the Magento DB to osCOmmerce format. This, however, is only a limited set of tables (all products and categories tables).

The osCommerce DB differs (slightly) from the standard DB, some fields have been abused for different purposes as the field was intended for (for example: products_weight in the products table is used as SKU) and some fields are new (for example ean_code in the products table). The schema of the DB is available as download. The actual DB can be sent by request under non-disclosure.

So we need the following:
1. Migrate osCommerce DB to Magento (existing orders, products, categories, manufacturers, customers),
2. Migrate Magento to osCommerce DB periodically (every hour)(only categories and products tables)

The main characteristics of the DB
Categories: 800+
Customers: 600+
Orders: [url removed, login to view]+
Products: [url removed, login to view]+
Manufacturers: 200+

Please indicate if you could do this, your approach, what the price for the project would be, the time you need and what you need from us to complete the work. Bids without this information will be removed/ignored.

Payment will only be made after work is complete (escrow is possible). If work cannot be completely done, no payment will be made. So think before you place a bid or ask for more info before accepting/placing a bid. Two people already tried but failed on completing this job, so it seems to be a very complicated task (the last person complained that there was something wrong with the data; we don't know, but this might be the case).

Included as well should be documentation so we can do a migration ourselves.

Our Timeline for finishing this is November 1st.

We look forward hearing from you.
