Project Description

The goal with this project is to suggest changes in our email content and headers, and / or in our hosts file, to prevent our legitimate subscription activation emails from being mistakenly identified as SPAM. This is not a coding effort. The email is sent via a PHP script from a Linux server. We believe that the problem is caused by a combination of factors: the layout and wording of the email body; the wording of the email subject; the way we specify the "From" field of the activation email; and also in the way that our hosts file is set up. Customers sign up at our site by entering information such as their name and email address. We never sell or use the name or email address for commercial purposes, but we do require a valid email address. To ensure the email address is valid, we send an activation email to the client. The email has a link back to our site; when the client clicks the link their account is activated and they can log in. The winning bidder is expected to sign up for a free trial on our site, so they can receive the activation email and examine the contents and header and suggest changes. We will provide our hosts file as well.
