Project Description

I'd like you to build a simple one-page dashboard for our twitter account, tracking both mentions of our username and new followers. I've attached the design, which is probably the easiest way to get a sense for how this should work, but here's a summary: The purpose of the dashboard is to see at a glance what factors influence: - mentions of our username by others on twitter - new followers of our account on twitter By factors, I mean things like a tweet that we send out, or someone linking to our twitter account in an email newsletter, or a press mention. Factors will be entered manually by the user, except for tweets sent out by our twitter account, which should be imported automatically. A script should also be written to automatically fetch and store the # of mentions and the # of new followers each day, as well as pull in our own tweets as factors. (all via API or RSS) Each day's counts will be displayed on the page, along with factors that may have influenced those counts. The user should be able to delete any factors or add a new factor manually for any day. This should happen in-line, and ideally it should use ajax so a page refresh is not required. Finally, I'd like to use a google annoted time line visualiztion to track the numbers and the mentions. (this is pretty simple. Here's their code playground: [url removed, login to view]) NOTE: In photoshop you can turn off the notes group of layers in the attached file to toggle some additional info about how the app should work. Implementation notes: - Prefer you use jquery for any javascript, but other libraries (like YUI, prototype, etc. are also okay) - HTML can use tables (it's tabular data, after all!) but please do use CSS for styling. - Compatibility with recent Safari and Firefox. Don't care about IE, opera, etc. Ideal candidate has done a lot of web development and is available for ongoing work on apps like this.
