Project Description

We are updating a old java game of ours; it is simple but remains popular. There are two fairly basic java applications involved. You can view a copy of the source code at [url removed, login to view] The first is MOHAN_JDBC which is a simple game weapon database with a simple GUI front end. The second is GLADIATOR which is a multiplayer card game with a server and client component. New development and refinement required: To MOHAN: Add a simple user login and user registration function. Change interface to present user with a username/password prompt and register and lost password buttons when the application is first loaded. If registering, the required fields will be First Name, Last Name, username, password, age, address. There should be simple encryption for the password. If user lost password, ask for First Name and Last Name. If they match what is in the database then prompt them for a new password. Once logged in, user interface should look similar to current one but with "Welcome 'First Name'" in the corner and 'view info', 'play game', and 'logout' buttons. 'view info' should display information input during registration as well as the timestamp of their last login. 'play game' should launch a copy of the gladiator client and if possible fill in and submit their username when prompted by the client. 'logout' should save the current game weapon being displayed on screen. This weapon should be displayed to the user the next time they log in. To GLADIATOR: Currently the server and all copies of the client must be launched on the same machine. The game needs networking code to allow clients to be launched on different computers on a local network and connect to the server application.
