Project Description

I am looking for someone who will help me design a site. It's a site for university students in Manchester, UK. It will consist of a few pages with different features, that can be tied together. The pages are:

Homepage: an interactive page that features previews of other posts and attractions from around the site, it's a homepage slideshow which also allows you to click.

Local Talent: This page basically has a Wordpress blog set up. A good example of the type of layout would be [url removed, login to view], it would have the main headline, picture and short blurb in preview mode, which you click on to get to the main article.

Deals and Discounts: A list of deals and discounts to be had in Manchester, basically short blurbs on each place. I am thinking blocks with a picture and a blurb about the place, including the address. On the left hand side, you can filter the deals by tag, i.e. restaurant, shop, etc. An ideal feature would be a nearest deal locator/discount finder located at the top of the page where you can put your post code into the search bar and it comes up with the nearest deals.

Rater: This allows people to rate restaurants, clubs, movies, etc. I'm guessing having a box with a picture and a small blurb with an average rating out of five stars and the number of ratings. Clicking on the box takes you to the main page about the place/thing which will include individual ratings, and also the ability to submit your own rating. On the left you can sort the ratings by tag i.e. movie, restaurant etc.

Confession: Similar to fmylife.com. The ability to post a short blurb (150 characters?) of anonymous stuff you want to get off your chest. Ability for each blurb to be rated thumbs up or down. Clicking on each blurb takes you through to the comments.

Sport: A set up much like the Local Talent Section. A blog section with each article having the banner picture and a short blurb as preview, clicking on the box takes you to the full article with comments. On the left hand side is navigation which allows you to filter by tag, football(soccer), rugby, cricket etc.

NS Radio: I was thinking of a small banner on the right hand side that says NS Radio. When you click on it, a small window pops up that has a youtube playlist (of my choice) embedded in it. I was thinking of the video on the right of the small window, with a list of links on the left side. The links are links to separate playlists.

If you are able to create all or most of these pages feel free to make a bid. I have more detailed ideas for these pages so if a bid is accepted I can email you more specs.
