Project Description

We require a web based application and possible maintenance.

Primary function of the application, is to allow the end user to scan a barcode or import file which the application will use to lookup all required item information (detailed below) and then inject into a remote database via api (api documentation to be provided).

We would like the end user to be able to choose the condition of new or used via a dropdown menu, then also select a format option (ie book/dvd/game/audio). Finally select via another dropdown (options propagated via api from remote database) the relevant supplier. Once those three options are complete the end user should be able to scan a barcode or import a file which the application will automatically check to verify if the item barcode already exists in the remote database against the same condition chosen.

The results are to be shown in a list format, if the item barcode exists in the remote database data checking should be utilised to ensure data is complete. Where data is not complete according to the list specified below data should be retrieved from the sources same as for a new item.

If the item barcode is deemed to be new in stock then generate new SKU and pull data as specified below. Primarily all information should be sourced from [url removed, login to view] (upon multiple results relating to one barcode provide a method of choosing desired item). If no information can be found on [url removed, login to view] I am open to suggestion of secondary sources of isbn data so long as it is UK relevant with exception of synopses and category.

Specific requirements for application:
1. To be able to enter up to 500 barcode ( list view, cached results)
2. Additional editable fields (new items only): bin, quantity, Supplier Barcode, Supplier cost, Supplier code.
3. Ability to select all or individual items for entry into database
4. If already existing in database highlight in red within list view, do not allow edit of bin or quantity. Automatically fill in data gaps and refresh amazon sale rank and amazon lowest market place price (country requirements as below), show where information has been appended.
5. Export results to csv or excel
6. Link to view item on amazon UK
