Project Description

Following a server crash and subsequent reboot of our VPS and then an increase of the memory on our VPS which also required a reboot, we are now finding some problems with the administrator functions of our Joomla/Virtuemart e-commerce website. Actions to administrate the e-commerce aspect of the site are not producing the results they usually do.

The website has functioned perfectly for a long time. But following the above work by our hosting company we find the following problems:

- When creating a new menu (front end facing), which links to the shop/e-commerce component, and points to a product category, two identically produced menus can throw up different results for the customer on the front end of the website. Additionally no products are shown to the customer even though they exist in the product category.

We suspected this was due to a setting on the server following the reboot work. However the hosting company have investigated and suggest this is an issue with the configuration of the software.

No settings have been changed in the administration side of the website to cause this. We therefore require an experienced developer to investigate, identify the cause of the problem and correct it to ensure that all administration functions of the e-commerce shop perform as they should do.
