Project Description

ok. The first thing you need to know is that I will not be able to explain everything in the project detail, nor will you be able to get it all from what I say here. So I will say the essential stuff, and I will pay you $75, in order to chat with me and learn about the project. That will take a few hours and likely more than one session. After we have completed documentation/training, then we will move onto coding the changes I need.

Who are you? You are a PHP developer that really KNOWS how to program for Joomla with MVC architecture, and knows PHP, Ajax and MySQL.

This is not essential, but it would help a LOT: You speak Spanish.

Do not bother to show me you have "done websites" with Joomla. I have no use for that. I want to see that you have CODED COMPONENTS for Joomla.

In countries with roman law (so, mostly occidental countries except the UK and USA) notaries are also lawyers, who carry great responsibility and power. It is also a very complicated activity. We have a component that automates most of that activity.

We have a database with 4 base tables (people, corporations, vehicles and property). Then we have a list of "smart" templates. People fill in the blanks with information from the tables. For example: You are going to buy a house. From the list, which the notary populates, you select the buyer, the seller, the price and the house, then the date and the time. Information from the DB is merged with the base text. An editable draft is created, modified if needed, approved and then printed. The system creates a pdf file with very specific margin configuration.

The component also has a system to calculate taxes and lawyers fees, a system to create other types of simple documents and a few logs that work as indexes of things that have been done. The first task is simple: understand the code.

Now, onto the tricky part: Being a notary is FULL of rules. And then those rules are full of exceptions. And the component must bend every which way to adjust to all those rules, and then to all those exceptions. So, again, you KNOW your stuff. If I select you, you will be offered a flat fee for coding, and a percentage of the income of the component. Just so you get an idea... Costa Rica, smallest country in central america has 8500 notaries. A notary will pay with no problems $40 per month for the use of this software. If out of 8500 we get only 1000... gross income is $[url removed, login to view] per month. 87 countries use the same system as Costa Rica.

On top of a base hourly rate, I am willing to give a coder up to 5% of our gross income.
