I am looking for someone who can build a Linux installer. The deliverable is an intaller that is installs a somewhat slimed-down [Debian] based distribution of Linux with a number of extra packages. With the code delivered, I should be able to build an installer that I will then burn on CD so that I can install the OS and the additional packages on multiple systems. I will use the code delivered to build an installer that I will use to install the OS/packages compo on a number of Dev and test machines in the dev cycle and to build the final installer that will ship with the final product. The final product is a combination of a software application (not a deliverable of this project) and the OS (Debian Linux).
The deliverable is a fully redistributable installer that installs an
operating system (Debian) and a number of components listed in the
**List of deliverables:**
1. Working installer as described in the attached document. Installer must be redistributable (no external rights attached to it).
2. Source code of the installer (basing this installer on other
similar or identical open-source projects is fine)
3. A short statement of design document that provides an overview of the design of the installer
4. Brief notes describing how to edit the list of component and or
software packages that the installer installs
All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S.
Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. However, it is understood that, dependingon the technical architecture, some of the work might be under various open-source licences.
